Untitled 2017 Photographic Exhibition – Gallery Event
Please join us at Subtext Gallery for a one-night only benefit auction of 20 photographic prints. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Museum of Photographic Arts. See all competition entries shown in a rotating slideshow, sip craft beer from Coronado Brewing Co., and bid on original art by some of the regions best photographers. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 images and a special “People’s Choice” prize will be provided courtesy of the Museum of Photographic Arts. FREE TO ATTEND

Major’s Meeting on 10/25 from 11:30-12:30 FREE PIZZA

There will be a Photo & Digital Majors Meeting on 10/25 from 11:30-12:30 in 573.
Free Pizza!

We will go over how to petition for a certificate or degree (for students who qualify). Also, we will go over the Program courses, requirements, and Spring 2018 Schedule at that time.

Students can bring an unofficial transcript from Web Advisor to help know where they stand on their path to finishing a degree in Photo & Digital or Art. We can also show students how to obtain an unofficial transcript.

If people have questions about courses, degrees, or certificates, this is a great time to give them answers and guidance.

PUBLIC ART PROJECT OPPORTUNITY

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR HERE COMES THE NEIGHBORHOOD: SAN YSIDRO

Art Budget: Up to three artists will each receive a budget of approximately $40,000
Eligibility: Any artist or artist team legally residing in California or Baja California and authorized to work in the U.S. Application Deadline: November 16, 2017, 4:00 PM PST

The City of San Diego is seeking applications from interested qualified artists to provide public art services for here comes the neighborhood: San Ysidro. Artists are sought to design, fabricate and transport permanent site-specific artworks for the San Ysidro neighborhood of San Diego and consult during installation of artworks at the sites by the City. Important APA National 2018 Sourcebook Update

It’s not too late for you to be included in the impressive 2018 APA National Sourcebook !

Did you upload an image for the 2018 APA Sourcebook?
If you did, you should have received an email receipt with:
* Your image file name (used for reference only)
* Your First and Last Names, exactly as they will appear in the book * Your website URL, exactly as it will appear in the book
Please double check your receipt, and let us know right away if anything needs to be corrected. (If you didn’t get a receipt, please check your spam folder.)

If you did not yet upload an image for the upcoming Sourcebook:
As a primary benefit of membership, APA Professional and Leader level members are entitled to have an image included in the Sourcebook.
This week, we are continuing to accept image submissions (from Pro & Leader photographer members only) at the rate of $250 for a single page. Final submission deadline: Thursday, October 5th.

The second page rate remains at $500 for a commanding two-page spread.

A spread can be either one image across two pages, or one image on each page. The book will be distributed in early 2018.
