The discussion will be moderated by MOPA’s Executive Director, Deborah Klochko. Sebastião and Lélia spent ten years creating GENESIS, journeying to the places beyond the touch of modern life to bare witness to the fragility of our planet. Curated by Lélia, each photograph in the collection is a stark and powerful reminder of humanity’s footprint. It is also a testament to the might of Sebastião and Lélia’s partnership. Grand prize winning photo of Chula Vista will appear on a billboard in June!

All budding photographers, professional photographers, or those who just enjoy taking photos are invited to enter the “This is Chula” photo contest which runs from May 5-16, 2017.

To enter, simply post your THIS is Chula photo to Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, using the hashtag #THISisChula. All photos must be taken in the City of Chula Vista and be recognizable as such. For complete rules and details, go to http://www.explorechulavista. com/.

The grand prize winner will have their photo appear on a billboard in June as part of the THIS is Chula image advertising campaign. Other prizes include VIP tickets to a concert at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista.
