It starts at 7 pm and concludes at 8:30 pm, so our students can still have a Friday R&R!

APA San Diego is hosting our annual Untitled Photographic Exhibition, a one-night only exhibition and benefit auction of fine art photography THIS SATURDAY, October 22nd, from 7-9pm at 3rdSpace, 4610 Park Blvd, San Diego CA, 92116.

30 exceptional images will be displayed and sold on silent auction benefitting the Museum of Photographic Arts. Enjoy the rotating slideshow of all the contest entries, drinks, and more.
We would love for you and your students to join us, check out what our local photographers are doing and enjoy the show. Join participating 2016 Eye to Eye Portfolio Review photographers for a fun and informal viewing of their original prints at this FREE public event. The Open Portfolio Walk brings together curators, collectors, photographers and fans of the medium for an inspiring peek into the creative minds of dozens of participating portfolio review photographers from across the country.

Medium Festival of Photography starts this week

2016 Medium Festival of Photography

California’s premier festival of photography returns to the Lafayette Hotel this week. The 2016 Medium Festival offers many free events, exhibitions, book signings, a portfolio sharing night with 65 photographers, as well as lectures by some of today’s prominent voices in photography. Complete event information is available on the Festival website<>, with passes available at the Lafayette Hotel beginning Thursday. The Medium Festival of Photography runs Oct. 20-23.


Keynote Lecture with Penelope Umbrico

Join New York based artist Penelope Umbrico on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7pm for the Medium Festival of Photography’s 2016 Keynote Lecture<>. Umbrico’s work examines our relationship with photographic images and how new technology is shaping the creative possibilities of the medium. Tickets for the lecture are available beginning Thursday, Oct. 20 inside the Lafayette Hotel.


Daylight Books Fall 2016 launch party

Join Daylight Books on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 8-10pm for a book release and signing by 5 recently published artists, including Vincent Cianni, Barbara Kyne, Mark Marchesi, Nish Nalbandian and Michael Paganelli. Open Show San Diego #2

Open Show San Diego hosts 3 participating photographers on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7-8pm to present their work as part of an open community discussion. Size Matters at Low Gallery

Low Gallery<> and the Medium Festival of Photography present the second annual Size Matters exhibition highlighting photographic works smaller than 10". Curated by Allie Haeusslein of Pier 24 Photography<> (San Francisco) the show draws on submissions of photographs from Asia, Europe, North and South America. An opening reception with participating artists takes place Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7-10pm. Several San Diego artists are included in the exhibition.
